O'Connor Horses is built on nearly twenty years in the show jumping arena — competing at the highest level in South Africa and Europe, breeding successful horses, and developing an eye for talent that travels across any auction ring or paddock.
The Experience
From the South African circuit to the European arenas, Kelly has spent a career at the sharp end of open show jumping. That experience — the wins, the long days producing young horses, and the discipline of competing internationally — is the foundation of everything O'Connor Horses offers.
The Breeding
Alongside competing, Kelly has bred successful horses — selecting bloodlines for rideability, scope and a careful technique, then proving them in the ring. Our homebred horses carry that programme forward.
Where Our Horses Come From
A good horse is a good horse, wherever it comes from. Ours come from three places: the horses we breed, young horses we buy in to produce and resell, and horses owners bring to us to sell on their behalf. Whatever the source, we don't sell just anything — every horse goes through the same process and is only offered once it carries our stamp, with full transparency on vetting.
Producing Social Athletes
We believe horses are social athletes, not machines. Correct training, physiotherapy and quality food from a young age are combined with real turnout, paddock time and hacking out — letting a horse just be a horse. It is how we keep them sound, happy and genuinely rideable, and it is the difference you feel when you sit on an O'Connor horse.
The Yard
O'Connor Horses operates from an established stable yard that also offers livery services. The facilities support careful, consistent production of every horse in our string.
