For Sellers
Sell Your Horse With O'Connor Horses
We don't sell just anything. When you bring a horse to us, it goes through the same process every O'Connor horse does — proper vetting and proper production — so that when it sells, it carries our stamp.
The Process
How it works
Tell us about your horse
Send us the details — breeding, age, level, video and your honest assessment. We don't sell just anything, so the first step is deciding together whether your horse is right for us to take on.
Assessment & full vetting
Before we take a horse on, full vetting is completed at Baker McVeigh, including clinical X-rays, so the horse is sold fully vetted. This also confirms whether the horse is suitable for us to sell.
Two to three months in production
Your horse stays with Kelly for two to three months — in her livery yard, under her training. Correct work is combined with paddock turnout, hacking out and quality feed, so the horse is produced as an athlete and kept happy in its head. Kelly's training fee and livery are charged for this period, with quality feed and physiotherapy at her discretion.
Sale & completion
We present the horse properly to qualified buyers and guide the sale through to completion. A 2.5% commission applies on the sale.
